Our Treatments
Acupuncture
Initial Consultation is a 2 hour full evaluation and treatment. Follow Up Treatments last an hour and fifteen minutes to an hour and a half. All Acupuncture Treatments include a Front and Back Treatment unless a patients condition doesn't permit.
Moxibustion
Moxibustion involves the burning of dried mugwort (Moxa). This is a form of heat therapy that can be used in many ways. Moxa can be placed on the ends of needles to send heat to the source of pain. A Moxa Pole looks like a cigar and can be waved over the affected area. Moxa can be placed on a barrier on the skin such as salt or a slice of ginger. Acupuncture plus Moxibustion improves range of motion while reducing edema, inflammation and pain.
Herbal Medicine
Unlike western pharmaceuticals, Herbal Medicine is a customized formula to treat specific needs based on the patients condition and body constitution. Herbal Medicine comes in many different forms: Raw Formulas which the patient can simmer on the stove and drink in liquid form. Granules which is a powdered formula mixed with water and consumed by drinking. Capsules and Pills, patients find these work best when they are on the go.
Facial Rejuvenation
Cosmetic Acupuncture
As we mature our bodies produce less collagen. Acupuncture needles inserted in wrinkles and muscles stimulate the production of collagen reducing fine lines and help lift the face with a more natural appearance than Botox. The results are amazing!
Massage Therapy
Manual manipulation of the muscle to promote blood flow, break up adhesions and relaxation of sore muscles. There are many types of massage available. Some of most popular massages are: Swedish, Therapeutic, Deep Tissue and Tuina.
Electrical Stimulation (E-Stem)
An Electrical Stimulation (E-Stem) Machine uses electrodes attached to needles that have been inserted in points along the body in the affected area. The E-Stem machine sends a micro- current of electrical impulses to the muscle, which helps promotes blood flow, reduces muscle tension, releases endorphins and reduces inflammation.
Cupping
When muscles are tight they trap and hold on to waste, lactic acid and dead blood cells. This prevents blood flow from entering the muscle. Cupping causes a vacuum-like suction to allow these waste materials to be brought to the surface, bringing fresh blood into the muscle to promote faster healing. As opposed to massage, which provides downward pressure on the muscles, cupping provides a back stretch to relieve tightness.
